Describe your style of cooking

Homemade and Wholesome. We take great care in preparing and cooking our food.

Training and background

Left college and have worked as a Chef for 25 years in family owned pubs/restaurants.

What’s the best advice you have ever been given?

To stay as an independent. Running your own restaurant requires you to always aim higher and become better as your diners are important to you. You want them to come back!

What food would you say is good value for money?

In our restaurant, definitely steak and kidney pudding - the fish and chips are pretty good too!

What is your favourite comfort food?

Definitely Lamb Chops.

Which chef do you admire most?

Rick Stein.

Do you think Britain’s culinary reputation has advanced in recent years?

Yes, this I believe is down to the interest the public now have in what’s put in front of them. More programmes on the TV has created more food critics, which ensures what comes out of the kitchen ticks most of the boxes.Describe your style of cooking
