Only 5 minutes from Bedford yet in the heart of the countryside the Horse and Jockey at Church End, Ravensden is well worth a visit. Situated next to the beautiful old church of All Saints amidst thatched cottages it is an ideal place to unwind.

Recently taken over by Darron & Sarah Smith it has been completely restyled and now offers a wonderful atmosphere both as a pub and restaurant. Indoors or out there is the chance to relax. Whether you come just for a drink and one of Darron’s locally famous snack pots or to dine in the restaurant you will not be disappointed.

This freehouse offers a range of beers and guest ales as well as an extensive wine list and a menu of freshly prepared high quality ever changing dishes. Chef Darron strongly believes in using the best quality ingredients with an emphasis on supporting local producers. The menu includes a great variety of game dishes when in season as well as a broad range of classics including Darron’s signature dish of Belly Pork. In addition he also has an excellent fish menu that changes daily dependent on catch.
