A beautifully preserved 16th Century Inn and restaurant with low beamed ceilings, a cosy fireplace, serene country setting and a welcoming pint of real ale; The Cabinet is a place most people think only exists in novels.
Angus Martin (formally executive chef at Fortnum and Mason) is driving the kitchen and provenance of the food; locally sourced if possible. Tracey Hale, former Cambridge restaurateur, keeps a keen eye on service and all wine matters (supplied by friend and fellow foodie Paul Bowes of “Bacchanalia”).
The menu changes monthly to take advantage of the best produce available. On offer is an award winning mix of menus from an easy and relaxed supper menu to the fast and punchy Snug and Bar menu featuring all your favorite pub meals, also Sunday lunch for those in search of a traditional roast.
