An okay restaurant
This is an okay restaurant, serves nice lunches and always seems popular. D.C. Posted 18/8/10.
Going back soon
Not eaten here for a year or more nice to see the food is just how I remembered, definitely going back soon. M.B. Posted 12/8/10.

They do great lunches, still up with the best in my opinion! T.B. Posted 12/8/10.
Still hard to beat
Still my favourite and still hard to beat, they serve some great food. S.K. Posted 28/7/10.
Brilliant!
This restaurant never disappoints. Great food in relaxing surroundings, just what you need after all the grief at work, especially when the weathers good and you can just sit in the garden with a pint knowing someone else is cooking your dinner. (Sorry Emma)! P.d. Posted 30/6/10.
Love the food
I love this restaurant and its food, it never dissapoints. Just wish we lived closer. J. M. Posted 8/6/10
Excellent
We didn't know much about this place but we both really enjoyed our meal here and ended it with a cheeseboard which was the best we have ever tasted. I think the decor could be slightly improved but would not hesitate to recommend to anyone and we will def. be back.
The region's best
I have eaten here several times and believe it has the best food in the area. The wine list is superb and, as mentioned in another review, the cheeseboard is awesome. Service can be patchy (often young, inexperienced staff) and the furniture and decor are mundane. But if the place was fancier, the prices would be higher! I would unreservedly recommend the place to all foodies.
Interesting menu
The standard of food, service and surroundings are consistent. Menu is interesting and challenging.
Cheese Board? Try Cheese Heaven
Whilst I remember the food being spectacular and the ambience great, my lasting memory of the Crooked Billet will always be the fantastic cheese trolley.
We could smell it coming a mile away (a good start) and then our waiter suggested a 'cheese clock' for those unsure of what they liked. Needless to say there were a brave few who made it to 12 (Stinking Bishop), but the experience was well worth it.
Boss is happy
I took a couple of clients to this restuarant and managed to save the company some money by using the 10% off voucher.
Since then my manager has bought all of the team a copy of the Foodie to use, to try different quality places as well as saving money, during the Credit Crunch!
Staff in this place were very very good..........
Magic Meal
This is the second time that I have been taken to this restaurant and on both occasions I've been amazed how wonderful the food has been. If you've not tried it yet I would recommend you do so, and soon.
