This absolutely spotless shop was opened in 1994 on a working organic farm and specialises in supplying locally sourced meat. Besides joints and cuts of beef, lamb, pork and poultry the shop is renowned for its fine pork, beef and lamb sausages all prepared on the premises along with bacon, dry-cured and slowly smoked over beech. Air-dried then smoked, Brickhill ham is Simon’s own adaption of Parma ham and to complement this, a fine selection of English and Continental cheeses. Fish lovers will be pleased to learn that on Fridays and Saturdays, Simon along with Liz Fryer, source direct from Billingsgate market all the fresh fish and then expertly prepare it for you to enjoy.
Acclaimed by Rose Prince of the Daily Telegraph that the air-dried coppa was the best air-dried meat she had tasted in Britain and also rated in the Sunday Observer as “Best Deli”.
