Dobbies as a company was founded in 1865 by James Dobbie, who was a keen gardener selecting his own strain of flowers and vegetables.
Today Dobbies still seek to build strong links with the community by involving local charities at our event evenings and buying in local produce wherever possible.
This brings us to our food hall where most of our charity evenings are held with food and drink sampling taking place.
We have a wide range of produce that is locally sourced, from fruit and vegetables, to honey and bread.
Our deli comprises a vast array of products from Belgian chocolates, fresh cakes baked daily in our restaurant and a large variety of olives and Patchwork Pate that is made by hand with only fresh ingredients. Then there's our range of 70 cheeses and the fresh field raised meats and hand made cooked pies.
Keeping with our Scottish roots we sell a wide range of Scottish beers alongside our locally produced Concrete Cow beer that's brewed in Milton Keynes.
Currently the second largest operator of garden centres, we aim to be number one for choice and widening our range of products.
A trip to Dobbies offers a quality range of longstanding horticultural heritage. Come along to our plant information centre and speak to our plant expert who is a regular presenter/host on 3 Counties Radio. There's nothing he doesn't know about gardening.
We pride ourselves on being at the front of environmental awareness, so why not bring your little seedlings along to our little seedlings club where they can learn about the garden, how to grow their own fruit and veg and wildlife. Maybe they would also like to go along to the aquatics department to see the fish or look outside at the chickens.
