Franks Steakhouse is owned by Tom Hewer and managed by Sophie Smith. Together with head chef Oli Butel and the rest of the team they will ensure you have an enjoyable time.
They opened their doors in October 2011 with the aim of serving fantastic locally sourced food in a traditional yet contemporary atmosphere. Steaks are cooked over a Josper Oven and served on wooden boards accompanied by homemade rough cut chips and side dishes. The Josper Oven is the preferred choice by many top London Steakhouses. They cook at much higher temperatures 650/700F which seals in the flavour and gives that traditional barbecued taste which we all know and love.
They serve a fantastic range of steaks, with cuts from Sirloin to 32oz Cote de Beouf. There is also fresh fish, chicken, and vegetarian dishes, accompanied by fine wines and excellent desserts. A fine selection of Bibendum wines are available; 125 ml, 175 ml, carafe or bottle, something to suit all tastes. The aim is to provide local produce; steaks are sourced from Church Farm, Overstone and vegetables are supplied by Whites Nurseries, Earls Barton. Bitter from Nobby's Brewery, Guilsborough is on offer as well as a range of their own ice cream in the homemade dessert menu.
They are also deservedly proud to be finalists in the Northamptonshire Food & Drink Awards for Chef and Restaurant of the year. In May 2012, Franks opened a sister restaurant, Franks Hamburger House which can also be found in the Wellingborough Road, Northampton.
