The Crooked Billet receives recognition from The Michelin Guide
The staff at The Crooked Billet pub in Newton Longville celebrated over the weekend with the news of special recognition in The Michelin Guide for Great Britain & Ireland. The guide, which is published next week, is the premier guide for restaurants and hotels worldwide. The Crooked Billet has been singled out as the only pub in Milton Keynes to make the grade required by the guide. The guide praises the pub for its smart yet informal interior, modern seasonal dishes that are crafted from local produce and the particularly interesting wine list. Owner Emma Gilchrist said "It's a great start for 2010 and nice to know that the people at Michelin recognised the consistently high standard that all of us here work hard at to achieve".
