The Carrington Arms, Moulsoe, Buckinghamshire
The Carrington Arms is an imposing 19th century listed building only one mile from junction 14 of the M1 in the picturesque village of Moulsoe.
For over 20 years The Carrington Arms has been famous for steaks using 21 Day Aged Bedfordshire Beef, served from a butchers counter in their open kitchen and the current owners carry on this tradition. More recently it has been selected in ‘The Independent’ newspaper in their top 50. The reviewer said, “they have one of the most delicious items of food I have eaten in Britain, which is the steak marinated in Jack Daniels”.
Alongside their counter they have introduced a restaurant à la carte and a bar menu using the best in fresh local ingredients. They are immensely proud of the local produce they use, especially their meat, game and poultry with herbs and salads from their own garden. They also source local real ales from micro breweries in Cranfield, Olney and Silverstone.
The Carrington is revisiting our recent culinary past for their à la carte. Dishes with names which will be familiar to all of us such as; Prawn Cocktail, Beans on Toast, Kedgeree, Partridge in a Pear Tree, Roast Pork and Apple Sauce, and English Tea Party. But in the hands of the Carrington’s Team expect their innovation and unique style to put their mark on these classics.
There are eight recently refurbished en suite chalet style bedrooms within the gardens, each with a flat screen television, tea and coffee facilities and continental breakfast.
