The Roade House
The Roade House restaurant has been owned by Chris and Sue Kewley for nearly 29 years. For most of that time it has been listed in The Good Food Guide as well as the Michelin, Harden and AA Restaurant Guides.
The building was originally a local village pub, The White Hart before it was converted into a restaurant. In 1997 an adjoining cottage was incorporated to create 10 guest bedrooms. Sue runs front of house and Chris is in charge of the kitchen.
Although the menu is small it is made using fresh, top quality and predominantly seasonal ingredients cooked to order. The Roade House provides an informal and relaxed atmosphere.
In addition to being an excellent venue for romantic dinners, business meetings or just a casual night out, a wide variety of functions are also catered for, from weddings to Golden wedding anniversaries, significant birthdays, retirement dinners and so on. Their extensive experience of organising and running functions means they are happy to produce tailored menus and for larger events offer exclusive use of the premises.
