The White Hart, Grafton Regis, Northamptonshire
The White Hart is a stone under thatch 16th Century building located in the small village of Grafton Regis and has been owned by the Drake family for over 15 years.
Owner chef Alan and his team prepare all their dishes on the premises freshly and daily. The menu changes frequently depending on what fresh produce is currently available. The fish arrives daily from Grimsby supplied by Keith Wright who delivers fresh fish in the area, providing a friendly door to door service for many villages. The meat which is mainly British is supplied by Bookers of Great Billing. Alan’s insistence for using only the freshest ingredients possible ensures an ever changing menu, therefore the Specials Board changes daily.
Andy takes care of front of house and is constantly trying to improve on what they have. The concept at the pub now offers one large menu in all areas so you can enjoy your meal in the air conditioned restaurant or in the traditional lounge bar area and weather permitting their wonderful garden.
Having this much commitment brings rewards having been awarded by Green King Brewery the title of “Catering Pub of the Year” winning first place from over 700 other entrants. Little wonder then that their board outside thanks the 20,673 diners that have visited them this past year.
Vouchers accepted Tuesday - Thursday only.
As you would imagine, the restaurant is very popular, comfortably seating between 26 and 29 so you are strongly advised to book your table to avoid disappointment, and for that special occasion you can book the entire restaurant providing the numbers are a minimum of 24.
