The White Hart, Grafton Regis, Northamptonshire
The White Hart is a lovely, stone, thatched 16th Century building located on the main A508 midway between Northampton and Milton Keynes, in the small village of Grafton Regis and has been owned by the Drake family since 1996.
Owner chef Alan and his team prepare all their dishes on the premises freshly and daily. The menu changes frequently depending on what fresh, local produce is currently available. The fish is from Grimsby supplied by Colin Thompson who delivers fresh fish in the area, providing a friendly door to door service for many villages.
The meat which is all British is supplied by Bookers of Great Billing. The lamb comes straight from the farm next door and has won many awards. Alan’s insistence for using only the freshest ingredients possible ensures an ever changing menu, therefore the Specials Menu changes daily.
Andy takes care of front of house, offering a very personal service, ensuring you enjoy your visit. The concept at the pub offers one large menu in all areas so you can enjoy your meal in the air conditioned restaurant or in the traditional lounge bar area and weather permitting their wonderful garden which has a large patio area.
Having this much commitment brings rewards having been awarded by Green King Brewery the title of “Catering Pub of the Year” winning first place from over 700 other entrants. Currently in the top 2% of places to eat in the whole of Northamptonshire on TripAdvisor. As you would imagine, the restaurant is very popular, comfortably seating between 26 and 29 so you are strongly advised to book your table to avoid disappointment, and for that special occasion you can book the entire restaurant providing the numbers are a minimum of 24.
